Big Year Birders Refund Policy
Refunds and cancellations are available according to the following schedule:
Prior to full payment invoicing: If notice of tour cancellation is received prior to invoicing (100 days before departure or more), the deposit – less the non-refundable amount of $20 – and any payments are refundable.
If you fail to pay in full by July 28th, 2023, your spot will be forfeited and you will lose 50% of your initial deposit.
After a full payment invoice has been sent:
61 to 100 days before November 5: 25% of the trip is non-refundable.
31 to 60 days before November 5: 50% of the trip is non-refundable.
less than 31 days before November 5, 2023: 100% of the trip is non-refundable.
If notice of cancellation is received 31 days before departure, all deposits and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. Your seat will be automatically forfeited and you will not receive any money back from your payment.
Transfers may be possible, but additional fees may be added if you are requesting a refund through the website. Transfers are not allowed less than 31 days before the first day of a trip. Please reach out to us bigyearbirding@gmail.com if you wish to transfer your tour and please include the transferer's contact information in the email.
No refunds are given for skipped meals or other on-tour activities. This includes leaving early and/or arriving late for the tour.
